shaquan’s background

I discovered my passion for track and field in seventh grade and quickly dedicated myself to the sport. In high school, I took my training to the next level, averaging 70 to 90 miles per week in pursuit of my goals. My hard work paid off when I placed 15th in the state of Georgia in 2006. This experience instilled in me the discipline and perseverance needed to show up for myself, as well as a mindset that I carry into everything I do today.

In 2010, my journey as a competitive runner took an unexpected turn when I was involved in a car accident during a training run. In search of healing, I turned to weightlifting—not only to rebuild my strength but also to process my emotions and redefine my purpose. To deepen my understanding of bodybuilding and body transformations, I became a certified personal trainer in 2015, helping others find their strength on their own journeys.

I discovered yoga in 2012, but it wasn't until 2020—during the stillness of the pandemic—that my practice became a daily ritual. Initially, I practiced just to stretch, but I found something much deeper: a connection to myself that I hadn't expected. Yoga evolved into a space for growth, reflection, and balance in my life. In 2022, I took the next step and became a certified yoga teacher, completing my 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2023. Now, I share this practice with others, helping them find strength, flexibility, and inner peace.
